AN INDEPENDENT BRANCH AND NEW PLANS IN THE ŠTAJERSKA REGION FOR FINOR LEASING, A SUBSIDIARY OF BANKA KOPER

Finor Leasing, a subsidiary of Banka Koper, has opened a branch office offering leasing services in the City Center commercial and business centre in Maribor.
In 2011, Banka Koper’s leasing house increased the total of its balance sheet by 10 percent to 90 million euro. Another 10 percent increase in the total is planned for this year as well. In the Štajerska region, the company recorded rapid growth and concluded 42 percent of all contracts. The majority of finance lease contracts were concluded with entrepreneurs and small companies, though its partners also include public sector institutions. In terms of value, the highest rank is held by investments into purchasing real estate followed by personal and commercial vehicles and investments into manufacturing and other equipment.
On 9 March 2012, on the occasion of the opening of the branch office in the City Center commercial and business centre, Banka Koper’s President of the Management Board Giancarlo Miranda stressed the fact that Banka Koper, a member of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group, has the highest credit rating among Slovenian banks and explained that in the Slovenian regions, the Koper-based bank is establishing an efficient support environment by offering financial services for the development of small and medium-sized companies.
Finor Leasing’s Managing Director Zlatko Kuštra stressed the importance of small business and entrepreneurial talents for the developmental breakthrough of the national economy. He also delivered a donation to the Maribor Music and Ballet Conservatory, supporting the attendance of the young ballet dancer Nina Noč at the prestigious ballet competition in Helsinki.

INTESA SANPAOLO EXPANDS ITS INTERNATIONAL ACTIVITIES

At the beginning of April, Intesa Sanpaolo, Italy's biggest retail bank, opened a representative office in Abu Dhabi, a news story has also appeared on Reuters. The step is aimed at strengthening its footprint in the Gulf, where Intesa Sanpaolo is already present with a branch in Dubai, which it opened last year and is one of its four international hubs for corporate and investment banking.
